Review of Air Mail for iOS

Air Mail

Despite the popularity of Apple’s iOS people find it difficult to extract entertainment from the titles available on the App Store. There is very little room between casual titles and ones intended for hardcore gamers. However, the developers of Air Mail recognized this rift and decided to put out a flight simulator published by the famous Chillingo. The game centers around an upstart pilot in the delivery businesses who is put on an island chain. The pilot’s job is to use his skills in order to deliver fish, cargo and even put out fires, not to mention freedom fight in many open worlds. This flight simulator is certainly an original and charm even for casual gamers.

The game starts out with a number of training missions which are intended to get you familiar with the controls of the game. How you use the controls such as button or tilt is up to you, as well as how you decide to use the array of camera angles to your very advantage. Each campaign in the game has been designed which gives players a mixture of everything i.e. diverse worlds, various characters and a move in and out of the game’s story.

However, the one sticking point and often resulting in frustration will be that many of the campaigns play very similarly i.e. collect a package and drop it off at another point prior to landing. The only relief players get from this is from the war missions in which players are required to fly though gun fire but there aren’t any dog fights. The game mainly has three modes i.e. Express Delivery, Explore Mode and Mission Mode which are aimed at providing players with hours of good game play. In a nutshell this is one of the best games for iOS out there and worth the purchase.
