LunaTik has again brought TakTik, its latest project, to Kickstarter in search of crowd-sourced funding. According to the company, the case combines iconic aesthetics with advanced performance features. Being a new military grade case for the iPhone 4 and 4S, TakTik makes use of LunaTik’s patent-pending shockproof suspension system with a so-called Ballastik Bezel and a 9mm impact truss. Thanks to the sandwich construction, the iPhone is cradled nice and safely. Users can also optionally get a Gorilla Glass lens protector for extra protection.

Additionally, the case incorporates Gore Acoustic dust- and water-resistant speaker and microphone covers as well as a 3.5mm headphone port cover crafted from anodized aircraft grade aluminum. The cover protecting the 30-pin dock connector quickly flips down allowing users to easily access the port. In addition, the case sports a silence switch. According to LunaTik, the whole enclosure doesn’t prevent the handset from receiving signal. The case maker is already designing an iPhone 5 case scheduled to hit the market just before the holiday season.

At the moment, the project had already exceeded its original funding goal of $150,000, yielding LunaTik $194,000 (which is not the final sum). Starting at $1, pledges max out at $250 for two top of the range packages. Among other advantages, the Future Proof Pack also features an iPhone 5 case, while the Mix’n Match Packs allows users to create customized looks with the help of different color parts included in the offering.
