Loosing your MobileMe? A Dropbox is an answer!

Have you recently received a notice that all your files and folders on MobileMe account will vanish? Well, here you can find a solution for that situation.
You may be aware of what to do with your files, but what about all those sites you hosted on MobileMe? Your answer is Dropbox. It is the site that offers you a free account to share your files and sites on the Internet. Though it is not really nice-looking but it is free and that is a great benefit, so you can use it while you are looking for something more stable and pretty.
What should you start with? First of all, don’t be in a hurry! If you were using iWeb before it is reasonable for you to publish you site to the local folder. It is an easy thing to do: just follow these steps and you will succeed in that.
Firstly you need to open you iWeb, choose the folder that will be moved to Dropbox; after that find Publish to: service and select a Local Folder. You will be given a choice of folders, select your Desktop folder as the location (the website URL may stay blank).
The second thing you need is to go to Dropbox and create your personal account. The registration at Dropbox is standard and you will easy do that; after registration you need to download a Dropbox application. Once you download it and install, open the app and log in with your username and password.
And few small steps are left. You need to create a Public Folder at your Dropbox folder and move an iWeb folder from your Desktop to the Public Folder. Dropbox will automatically create different URL for every file. One of the peculiarities of Dropbox is that you will share not your files but the link to your files, but that even makes the whole work easier!
